A lease connects a tenant to a unit for a period at an agreed rent. It drives rent expectations, invoice generation, payment tracking, and expiry reminders.
Creating a lease
- 1
Open Leases → New Lease
Pick the unit and the primary tenant, then set the start and end dates, monthly rent, deposit, and payment terms.
- 2
Add co-tenants if needed
Additional occupants can be attached to the same lease as co-tenants, so shared units stay on a single agreement.
- 3
Generate the agreement
PropertyLink can produce a professional lease agreement PDF with landlord and tenant signature blocks, ready to send for e-signature via Zedsign.
The lease lifecycle
- Active — the lease is running; rent is expected and invoices can be generated.
- Expiring — the end date is approaching; automated reminders warn you and, if configured, the tenant.
- Ended / terminated — the unit becomes available again and the lease moves into history.
Never miss an expiry
Lease expiry notifications run automatically, giving you time to negotiate a renewal or list the unit before it goes vacant.
